NexusOne Digital Programme

What is NexusOne? Nexusone

NexusOne is a scheme run by Scholars' Education Trust that enhances teaching and learning through the use of technology.  The integration of iPads into the classroom further develops the existing curriculum and supports learning for our pupils. Scholars’ Education Trust, is a leader in digital classroom technology and one of our sister schools, Samuel Ryder Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre and was a pioneer in this area.

How will NexusOne enhance teaching and learning?

Firstly, we aim to ensure every pupil receives equal opportunities, striving for equity and addressing any inequalities. NexusOne ensures that everyone has access to learning. The accessibility features are particularly important to support learners.

Our young people can learn, study, and improve their digital literacy. The iPads have access to powerful educational applications (apps) that pupils can use to enhance their learning. We will move towards students receiving live feedback in lessons and use online tools to explore concepts and aid in the retention of new knowledge.

Lastly, NexusOne prepares our young people for their future steps. Using this tool regularly will enhance their understanding of e-safety and allow them to engage with technology throughout their school career, providing a solid foundation for middle school.

What are the apps?

Apps are another term for applications. Your child will have access to numerous applications specifically chosen by their teachers to support their learning. Children will not have access to the App Store. Below are some examples of apps that may be used.
